Welcome, I see you’ve stumbled upon my blog. I started this blog to keep in touch with friends and family back home after moving to Japan two years ago on the JET Programme. I hope that anyone who is curious about life in Japan will also find it interesting.
My name’s Eleanor and I’m from Glasgow, Scotland. I’m not sure when I was bitten by the wanderlust bug but travelling has always been my passion in life. I love exploring new places, experiencing different cultures and of course, trying new and exciting foods. After a nine month stint living in Dresden, Germany during my university studies I was ready to travel further afield after graduation. I chose Japan because it felt like such a distant and mysterious land.
My blog doesn’t have any particular focus other than documenting my experiences in Japan (and a few other adventures, too). Japan has become somewhat of a second home to me. It truly is one-of-a-kind and if you haven’t had the chance to visit, I highly recommend sticking it on the bucket list!
